Instructors: Luz Marina Rondon & Magda Castillo, Creekside Ranch
Friday, November 20 | 9:00 AM -12:00 PM
All Skill Levels | Ingredients and one cheese mold included
Discover the satisfaction of making your own queso blanco from scratch! In this three-hour workshop, two local cheesemakers from Venezuela who own Creekside Ranch, will guide you through creating this traditional white cheese. You'll separate the curds (the solid part of the milk) from the whey (the liquid part), then place your curds into a mold. Take home your handmade cheese, your mold, and instructions for finishing the cheese at home.
While the milk coagulates, you'll learn to make arepas, a traditional Venezuelan bread, and enjoy them warm. With a small class size, you'll have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and receive individual guidance.
A minimum of six registrations is required for the class to proceed. Enrollment is limited to eight students.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests must be received by Friday, Nov 6, to qualify for a refund. Cancellations after that date and missed classes are nonrefundable. If Artistic Creations cancels the class, participants will receive a full refund.
Location: This class will be held upstairs in The Club, accessible by stairs. Please consider your mobility needs before registering.
Photos are provided for inspiration. Each participant will make their own cheese, and the finished appearance will vary
