About the Workshop

Create a colorful piece of fused glass art designed to catch the sunlight and bring a little fall color to your favorite window.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you will design your own suncatcher using sheet glass, frit, stringers, and decorative glass accents. Kimberly will guide you through safely handling cut glass and arranging colors, shapes, and textures to create a design that is uniquely yours.

Draw inspiration from autumn leaves, pumpkins, warm seasonal colors, or your own favorite signs of fall. You will also learn some of the science behind glass fusing, including why compatible glass matters and how different kiln-firing techniques transform separate pieces of glass into a finished work of art.

No previous glass experience is needed. Whether your style is warm and rustic, bright and playful, simple and elegant, or somewhere in between, you will have room to create a suncatcher that reflects your personality and your take on the season.

Finishing & Pickup

At the end of the workshop, your piece will remain with the instructor for kiln firing and finishing. Completed suncatchers will be returned to Artistic Creations and available for pickup within one week of the class.

Photos are samples of the instructor's work. Participants will create their own unique suncatcher, so finished pieces will vary in color, pattern, and appearance.
